Arroz con Leche
Here's how to make arroz con leche.
- ½ pound of rice
- 1 quart of milk
- 12 ounces of sugar (1 ½ cups)
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- pinch of salt
Cover the rice with water and soak for two hours, then wash it off
Boil 2 quarts of water and add the rice. Cook it at a simmer for one hour.
Add the cinnamon when the rice is a little cooked.
When the rice is completely cooked, add the milk, the sugar and the salt. Let it simmer for 20 minutes more. It is now done and ready to drink in a glass.
